Oh hai there.

I’m not sure how you ended up here, but wow. So, excited that you’re here.

I’m Angélica Cordero–storyteller, filmmaker, researcher, uber nerdy multi-hyphenate. Every day, I am swimming in an ocean of tabs, books, podcasts, tv shows, movies, dissertations, essays, games, tech, magazines, etc. on a hunt to consume everything I possibly can…while giving myself and creative collaborators details, backstory, profiles, and other materials to help inspire the stories we’re developing.

My job is pretty cool. I’m SUPER lucky.

When I’m not consumed with that, I’m wading through the trenches of WWII (specifically the American home front [it’s my MA]), exploring Women+Gender+Latin American Studies, building my family tree, or using my hands to make tangible art.

What even is Obsessively Curious?

You know, I’m still trying to work that out. Like many creative people who find a ton of things interesting, I’ve always toyed with variations of content creation over the years. Issue is, if consistency and branding are key to internet success, creatives like me with a very eclectic, all-over-the-place, nothing-makes-sense-together, inconsistent-cabinet-of-curiosities sense of making stuff have a hard time churning out work/art. I’ve abandoned more attempts at content creation than I care to admit. I blame being discouraged by bringing all of my variously different interests together into one platform.

So, I'm tossing all of that goodie internet success handbook sauce out and allowing my creativity a space to just be. If you’re looking for consistency in a posting schedule, sadly, it won’t be found here.

Obsessively Curious is a curated collection of god-knows-what will hyper focus me. Sometimes I’ll share things I’ve been consumed by. Maybe I’ll rant a little. It likely won’t be posted on a scheduled basis. But I’ll almost always post really interesting, thought provoking, fun/cool/nerdy things, mostly about history I’m learning/researching about. I have a slight addiction to playing Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon with almost everything and most certainly believe…
